Tway: Ss. Peter and Paul

Parish Schedule

Sunday, April 5th (Easter Sunday) 12:30pm (basket blessing)

The Church of the Holy Apostles SS. Peter and Paul, constructed in 1947 in Tway, Saskatchewan, is the first church of the parish. It was built by parishioners through financial contributions and voluntary labor, costing $10,000. The church was blessed by Bishop Andrew Roborecki in 1955. Ukrainian settlers, who began arriving in the area in 1899, initially established the parish of St. Paraskevia before moving to Tway. The parish was officially founded in 1937 by 20 families. Over the years, the church has undergone several renovations, including moving to a new foundation in 1997 due to moisture damage. The church remains active, holding one mass per month and continuing to receive support from both local and distant members.
