The Church of the Holy Apostles SS. Peter and Paul in Rosthern has a rich history shaped by its community. The first church, purchased in 1952 under Rev. Peter Kryworuchka, was adapted for the Ukrainian Rite by parishioners. In 1963, during Rev. Rudolph Luzney’s pastorate, the current church was built using materials from the original structure. The community played a crucial role in its development, with financial support from the Rosthern farms parish and leadership from figures like Rev. Kryworuchka, Dmytro Blocha, and Peter Worobetz. The parish has seen significant involvement from its members, including Maurice Holuk, Steve Kawcuniak, and many others, reflecting a strong communal spirit and dedication to their faith.
