The Church of the Holy Eucharist in Cudworth has a vibrant history that is deeply intertwined with community engagement. The first church, built in 1928 by parish volunteers led by Hrynko (Harry) Borys, was artistically decorated by Paul Zabolotny. After a fire in 1964, the present church was constructed with the guidance of Rev. Jerome Lashkewich and a dedicated committee. The community’s contributions were significant, with donations of land by Wasyi Sventak and Onufriy Shawaga, and fundraising efforts by the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada. Key figures in the parish’s history include Rev. Nestor Drohomyrecki, Steve Kuzma, and many others who served in various capacities. The parish continues to adapt, now meeting at the chapel of St. Michael’s Haven
